NOTICE OF ELECTION
Election of a Parish Councillor
for the Electoral Area listed below:
Electoral Area = Nettlestone and Seaview Parish Council
Number of Councillors to be elected = One
1. Forms of nomination for the Parish Election may be obtained from the Clerk to the Parish Council or County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD from the Returning Officer who will, at the request of an elector for the electoral area prepare a nomination paper for signature or here online: https://www.iow.gov.uk/azservices/documents/1174-Full-Pack-Nettlestone-and-Seaview-July-2021.pdf
2. Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer, County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD, between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm, on any day from the date of this notice but no later than 4:00pm on Friday, 25th June 2021.
3. If the election is contested the poll will take place on Thursday, 22nd July 2021.
4. New applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 6th July 2021. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote.
5. Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5:00pm on Wednesday, 7th July 2021.
6. New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5:00pm on Wednesday, 14th July 2021.
7. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on grounds of Covid-19, physical incapacity, or for work/service reasons must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at County Hall, Newport, Isle of Wight, PO30 1UD by 5:00pm on Thursday, 22nd July 2021. The physical incapacity must have occurred after 5:00pm on Wednesday, 14th July 2021. To apply on the grounds of work/service, the person must have become aware that they cannot go to the polling station in person after 5:00pm on Wednesday, 14th July 2021
