Permit holders are hereby notified that work to replace the dinghy park fence will commence on the 16th September (weather permitting).
The park will still be open during this time but users are urged to be mindful of construction equipment and other potential hazards during the works.
The fencing will be completely replaced – the wooden posts will also be replaced by galvanised steel posts. This work will be carried out one section at a time so the park will remain secure during the work. Users should be aware that if they currently secure their boat to a fence post or section of fence, their boat will be detached from the fence/post during the work – permit holders leaving their vessel/trolley attached to the fence/ posts during this time, do so at their own risk.
The engineers may need to temporarily move some vessels to keep them away from construction areas but we will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum. If you have any questions, please do get in touch.
